The inaugural Krider Classic 100 Automobile Race was hosted on November 12, 2022, in conjunction with the Sports Car Club of America, San Francisco Region, Fresno Chapter. The dynamic autocross event combined adrenaline filled time trial driving competition with the pageantry of a Formula 1 style podium celebration and special awards harkening back to the hey days of 60s car culture and road rallye events. All drivers were treated to event specific embroidered patches, printed track maps and Krider Classic 100 stickers for each of the racecars. And the fastest drivers earned Krider Classic 100 plate trophies.
While on track each of the racing drivers were competing for their individual class wins (or a podium finish), as well as the Top Time of the Day (TTOD) title and Top PAX honors. PAX is an index which allows different classed cars with different horsepower ratings to compete against each other (allowing a Honda Civic to have a shot against a GT4 Porsche). Rumor has it PAX was invented by slow drivers who want to feel fast. Regardless of the humble beginnings of PAX, at the end of the day, there could only be one overall Top PAX winner. And that winner would win the gold plate and a gold watch. Aside from the racing competition trophies there were also numerous special awards to be earned during the event.

TTOD (Top Time of Day, fastest overall around the course): Ric Quinonez, 2020 Shark Stealth
Best Car (cool looking, cleanest and driven hard): Adam Zakarian, 2019 Porsche 911 GTS
Cone Slayer Award (smashed more cones than anyone): James West, 1966 Chevrolet El Camino
Traveler Award (drove the most miles to race, 213 miles): Bill Marlow, 2015 Honda Civic Si HFP
Best Crap Can (ratty, rough, but still fast): Alex Wood, 1997 Honda Civic
Best Leg In The Air Award (three wheel motion, rear wheel up high): Paochoua Vang, 1994 Nissan Sentra SE-R
Fastest Lady (quickest girl around the course): Eileen Blando, 2020 Shark Stealth
DFL (Dead #$&!ing Last): Gary Lieb, 1994 Mazda Miata
During the obligatory driver’s meeting the competitors surprised the Director of Social Activities, Rob Krider, with face cut outs which were later taped to passenger seat headrests so Rob could go on ride-a-longs around the race course all day long. The Star-Spangled Banner was played and then the official call for “Gentlemen, and Ladies, Start Your ENGINES!!!” which came in via cellphone all the way from Maryland by the patriarch of the Krider Racing family, Jim Krider. At 9:00 a.m. sharp the engines of the cars in the first run group growled to life. It was time to kick the tires and light the fires!
